Simple DIY Vapor Rub Shower Cubes You Will Love

Do you love fall? It is a beautiful season. However, allergies are something we don’t like. People with allergies can experience severe flare-ups when trees shed their leaves. Many people resort to over-the-counter medications, which rarely work.

Vapor rub has been a great way to help allergy sufferers. Vapor rub can make a big difference in your allergy season. A quick sniff from the bottle can stop headaches and a runny nose. Although it is not the best solution, it is a good start. A hot, steamy shower can also help with allergies.

You could combine both. This article will show you how to make your very own Vapor Rub Shower Cubes, which are great for allergy season. These are also great for those suffering from colds or the flu.

DIY Vapor Rub Shower Cubes

Ingredients

    • 5 cups corn flour/cornstarch
    • 4 tablespoons Vapor Rub (Vicks).
    • Ice cube tray

5 tablespoons water

Blue food coloring

Preparation

Mix the Vapor Rub with cornstarch over low heat.

You will need to take some time to combine them, but keep at it.

The result should be a paste with no powder.

Start adding water one tablespoon at a time.

The mix must retain its paste consistency.

Although the blue food coloring can be used, we think it adds character to the shower cubes.

Now press the paste in the ice cube tray. Pack it tightly.

It should be kept in the freezer for at least two hours to set properly.

You can pop them out when you are ready to use them.

How to use the Cubes

It is simple to use the Vapor Rub Shower Cubes.

Place one on the floor of your bathroom.

It will release the menthol as hot water flows through it. This will open your airways.

The cubes can be stored in a freezer so you can use them whenever and wherever you like.

You’ll notice a bit of gunk when you first start using the cubes.

It’s best to place the cubes in the shower on a piece or foil of plastic, or as close as possible to the drain.

After a shower, there is no need to throw away an ice cube.

You can reuse them multiple times so one tray of ice cubes should last you a while.
