Abby Merryn was a 4-year old girl who had to say goodbye to Bailey, Bailey’s cat, a few months ago. She was only 4 years old, but she knew that Bailey, her cat, was going to be missed.
Bailey enjoyed the times when Abby read to him stories and sang along with him. He felt Abby`s love.
Singing goodbye
Bailey’s kidneys failed to function properly at the age of 14 and his family knew he would soon be leaving them. Abby held Bailey’s hand and sang “You Are My Sunshine” as he passed away. The cat died a few hours later. The cat died in the arms of the family.
Abby’s mother Erin Merryn recorded the heartwarming moment and shared it via social media. She stated that Bailey was one of a million. She allowed her daughters to feed and bathe him, change his clothes, put him in a cradle and rock him to sleep. He was more than a cat. He was a special cat who left a mark on their hearts. He was with them even after he passed away.

People from all walks of the globe shared their condolences and wished Bailey all the best after Bailey’s passing. The United States was not the only country affected by the tragedy.
